The Yakthung Limbu Heritage Archives (YLHA) is committed to the collection, protection, and preservation of books, manuscripts, audio-visual materials, inscriptions, and other cultural artifacts that reflect the Yakthung Limbu community’s legacy. A central part of this mission involves digitizing these materials to ensure their longevity and accessibility. By sharing these resources through a digital platform, the YLHA aims to promote a richer understanding of Yakthung culture, securing its legacy for generations to come.

While there is a lot of information on Yakthung Limbu culture and knowledge, access remains a challenge for many individuals interested in exploring these resources. In todays changing world it's more important than ever to preserve and share our traditions, art, language, stories and heritage. We believe that important documents and materials about Yakthung culture should be available to anyone who wants to learn more about their roots and history. Making this knowledge accessible is not just about convenience; it's about safeguarding it for future generations. This need led to the establishment of the Yakthung Limbu Heritage Archives.

The Yakthung Limbu Heritage Archives is a non-political, non-profit organization. We research, study and document the arts, history, culture, religion, and social life of the Yakthung Limbu people. We also help researchers by offering study resources and granting copyright permissions. 

Our whole archiving process is done in collaboration with authors and publishers, making sure that anyone with internet access anywhere in the world can benefit from these resources. The Yakthung Limbu community has a history and culture that is valuable part of human knowledge and the YLHA is dedicated to protecting it. Our organisation exists to preserve these archives and celebrate the pride of Limbu community and Limbuwan. We hope that these resources will inspire generations to appreciate and engage with their cultural heritage.
